Welcome to Listowel International Storytelling Festival brought to you by Kerry Writers’ Museum.
Our festival, now in its 8th year strives to bring the ancient artform of storytelling to as many people of all ages in the community as possible. This year we will celebrate Ireland’s most acclaimed storyteller or Seanchaí, Éamon Kelly, on the 25th anniversary of his passing.
Join us for performances, workshops, story swaps, music sessions, walks, talks and children’s events in the Kingdom’s cultural capital, as the best of Kerry’s storytelling talent merge with invited global guests, offering locals and visitors an opportunity to celebrate and discover oral traditions and cultural diversity.
Listowel International Storytelling Festival takes place from Thursday September 17th to Sunday September 20th 2026 in various venues throughout Listowel.
