International Day of Celtic Art Conference

Kerry Writers’ Museum will be the venue for the third international gathering of Celtic artists at the International Day of Celtic Art Conference from June 11th to 14th 2026. Previous gatherings were in New York in 2019 and in Downpatrick, NI in 2023. Lectures, presentations, art exhibits and teaching workshops will bring together artists and experts from as far as Australia, Hawaii, Scotland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Brittany and North America with the list still growing as plans are being developed. Listowel has been a hotspot for modern Celtic art since the late 19^th century Celtic Revival. Much of the local architecture has decorative elements of Traditional Celtic design with a number of local artists still carrying on the tradition.
