Wildlife Friendly Gardening

To mark National Biodiversity Week, Kerry Writers’ Museum presents a talk by environmental scientist Anneke Vrieling O’Connor on Wildlife Friendly Gardening, with a particular focus on pollinators and hedgehogs.  Originally from the Netherlands but now living in Abbeyfeale, Anneke specialises in biodiversity and river ecosystems. She established the Abbeyfeale Wildlife Park in 2009 and published ‘Abbeyfeale Park – A Nature Guide’ in 2012. Anneke co-wrote Abbeyfeale Community Biodiversity Action Plan 2023-2027 and is currently an environmental scientist with Feale Biodiversity which aims to eradicate invasive alien species from the Feale catchment area and restore native flora and fauna.
